Movement Joints



We rec­om­mend that move­ment joints (aka expan­sion joints) must be spec­i­fied where there is a struc­tural move­ment joint under the ren­der. Movement Joints should be used in cases of a change to the back­ground sub­strate. They may be used as a day joint or to define dif­fer­ent coloured ren­dered panels.


25 no x 2.5m lengths in fibre­board boxes. 25 no x 3.0m lengths in fibre­board boxes.


Butt joints to be embed­ded in sil­i­cone mas­tic to pre­vent water ingress. Mechan­i­cal fix­ings are best avoided to pre­vent dis­tor­tion of bead.


Cur­rently Ren­der­plas Beads are avail­able in Aus­tralia in Sand (Cream). How­ever the beads are avail­able upon request in a fur­ther twelve colours (White, Ivory, Brick, Ter­ra­cotta, Wheat, Peach, Salmon, Maize, Slate, Dove, Sky, Willow).
